Jasprit Bumrah, who in his first spell failed to bag a wicket, got two before stumps on day two of the Adelaide Test. Meanwhile, his inswinger to Pat Cummins caught everyone’s eye, as the delivery was a peach in itself. Furthermore, the pacer who celebrated his 25th birthday on Thursday got Peter Handscomb before that as well. The batsman looked set in the crease and scored a well-made 34.

However, Bumrah’s bowling partners, Ishant and Shami had an eventful day as well. Though Shami didn’t find himself on the wicket’s column, Ishant made an instant impact, cleaning Aaron Finch’s wickets in the first over itself. At stumps, he had finished with two wickets in his kitty.

Meanwhile, Bumrah set up Pat Cummins brilliantly. His planned worked during the spell, as Australia lost their sixth wicket in the first essay. Though the reputation of the Indians failing to take tailender’s wicket was hurting them, Bumrah found a way to get the huge breakthrough at the fag end of the day.

After India took the new ball, Bumrah did the damage on the third delivery itself. Cummins who had played 40-odd balls by then was looking set until an inswinger crashed into his pads. As Pat didn’t offer the bat, the umpire took no time in raising his finger. Though Cummins took the DRS, the ball-tracking showed the ball was hitting the stumps.

Moreover, the Indian bowlers have kept themselves in the game. They have scalped seven wickets, and Australia has collected 191 runs. Meanwhile, Ravichandran Ashwin has been the pick of the bowlers, as he bagged three wickets to his name. Meanwhile, Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah each picked up two.
