India’s all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was able to get the big wicket of Shaun Marsh. The southpaw batsman didn’t get a big stride in and got the outside edge which was nicely taken by Indian vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane at first slip. In fact, Michael Clarke in the commentary box wasn’t impressed by Marsh’s shot.

Clarke said it was a lazy shot from the flamboyant batsman who scored only eight runs. The Sydney pitch is still a paradise for the batsmen and Marsh would have been disappointed to miss out on his chance to score a big score.

Meanwhile, Shaun Marsh is Australia’s best batsman and hasn’t been at the top of his game. The left-hander could not hit the ground running. Australia is behind the eighth-ball as they have lost six wickets and have scored only 199 runs.

Thus, the host’s trail by a huge margin of 423 runs and would have to bat out of their skin to keep breathing in the ongoing Test match. India is currently leading the ongoing four-match series by 2-1 and has retained the Border-Gavaskar trophy.

India had posted a big score of 622 runs in the first innings and thus have put their noses in front. Ravindra Jadeja has taken two wickets whereas Kuldeep Yadav has taken three wickets to push Australia on the backfoot. Furthermore, Mohammed Shami has scalped one wicket. In fact, India’s best bowler Jasprit Bumrah is still wicketless.

Meanwhile, India will like to get the remaining wickets as soon as possible. They have a vice grip in the ongoing Test match and would like to finish the series on a high.
