Well, the upcoming ODI series against Australia is going to be a big selection headache for BCCI selectors. There are few big names on the paper, who are standing on the piece of thin ice ahead of the selection. Meanwhile, we figured out 3 players who are likely to miss ODI series against Australia.

Here are they:

3. Rishabh Pant:

The Delhi lad has attracted quite a few audiences and analysts with his sledging behind the wicket. But, unfortunately, he failed to get the same with his batting exploits. However, it is believed that he has got skills to survive in the longer version of the game. But, unfortunately, it wasn’t the case for him in limited overs.

The hard-hitting batsman failed to make things happen for him in limited overs when he was given chance. In both formats of the game, he got the chances to guide India to victory and cement his place but failed in all those chances.

However, he has got the backing of the skipper Virat Kohli and the team management, which is the only thing that can save him.  Even though if he gets the chance, mostly, MS Dhoni would take the wicketkeeping role for India. Meanwhile, Dinesh Karthik is pushing his place with consistent performances.

2. Jasprit Bumrah:

Well, this might surprise you but it could happen in the upcoming Australian series. Jasprit Bumrah is such a precious talent for Indian National Cricket Team. Taking care of him is an absolute must for India before going into ICC World Cup 2019.

He is already involved in the 4-match Test series and it is expected that he will be appearing in all those matches, as the series victory is at stake. This would certainly take a toll on Jasprit Bumrah’s body, thus, making him a likely candidate to miss the series.

BCCI would ask him to take rest and represent India when they travel to Kiwis in January.

Yeah, this is going to be a tough choice for BCCI. Everyone is aware of what KL Rahul can do on his day but unfortunately, his performances are not aiding him to stay in the team. He is carrying a poor form, which would certainly see him leaving the team.

With the youngsters pushing for a place in the national team and the world cup is just a few months away, BCCI might like to test any other player in a place of KL Rahul.

At least, to get an idea on the backups for the regular players, BCCI might ask youngsters in the domestic circuit to don Indian Jersey for the series against Australia.
