India’s former legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar believes Australian pitches will suit Rohit Sharma’s style of play. The Australian tracks are known for their true pace and bounce. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma is a batsman who likes a good pace on the ball. In fact, Rohit biggest nemesis has been swing.

However, there is not going to be much swing in Australian conditions. Thus, the flamboyant batsman can savor success while playing Down Under in the red ball version. Nevertheless, Rohit’s Test career on foreign soil has been a sad story and he would like to turn the tide on the Australia tour.

Rohit has done a fine job in limited overs format. However, he hasn’t been able to repeat the same performances in the Indian whites. Rohit had received his chance on the South African tour in the first two Test matches. However, he could not grab his chance with both hands.

The Master Blaster, in his interview with India Today, said, “Rohit has played a couple of big innings in Test cricket but his away from home form is something he needs to work on. I’m sure he knows it, he realizes that. I think it’s wide open now because it’s a great platform and he can go out there and express himself. The Australian pitches where there is bounce and pace will suit Rohit’s style of play.”

Meanwhile, Australia will be without the services of their talisman batsmen Steven Smith and David Warner. Thus, there is no denying the fact the absence of these two big players is going to leave a huge void in their team.

“Australia is not like the Australian teams I have been seen. They are rebuilding their side. Without Warner and Smith, it’s a big vacuum to fill for them. This is a great chance for India to grab that opportunity. I’m hoping that the team will travel well and do something we can be proud of,” Sachin Tendulkar said.

India is going to hold the advantage baton as there is no David Warner and Steven Smith in Australia’s team. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma will like to prove his mettle in the red ball version.
