Former Indian batsman and now commentator Sanjay Manjrekar is worried by the inconsistency of KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant. Both the batsman hasn’t been able to come up with goods as they are not in the best form. KL Rahul could only score 14 runs from 20 balls whereas Pant was dismissed for a golden duck in the third and final T20I against Australia.

Thus, Sanjay Manjrekar believes the inconsistency of these two batsmen is forcing India to play Krunal Pandya, as he can also bat. However, Manjrekar feels India would be stronger if both Krunal Pandya and Yuzvendra Chahal plays in the final XI of the team.

Meanwhile, KL Rahul was promoted to the number three position in the first T20I. However, the flamboyant batsman could not grab his opportunity. Similarly, Rishabh Pant had his chance to close out the first match when the equation read 20 runs from 11 balls.

Although, Pant decided to go for a cheeky shot as his inexperience was on display. Thus the southpaw batsman was slammed for his ‘out of the box’ shot.

On the other hand, KL Rahul was troubled by inswinging delivery on the England tour. Subsequently, the stylish batsman hasn’t been in the best of forms. He had scored a fine hundred in the final Test at Oval. However, he could not hit the straps against the Windies.

Meanwhile, India was able to level the three-match T20I series after winning the final match by six wickets. Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan and Krunal Pandya played a key role in India’s triumph.
