Finally, the day came for Mayank Agarwal to don Jersey for Indian National Cricket Team and he made it memorable by putting his hands up for the side with a brilliant knock. Meanwhile, the partner-in-crime of Mayank Agarwal, KL Rahul showered words of praise on his best friend for making things happen.

KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal share a great rapport between them, as the duo hails from the same state. Both the players represent Kings XI Punjab in Indian Premier League and also played domestic tournaments together.

Speaking of Mayank Agarwal, KL Rahul quoted that he is one of his inspirations in the game of cricket. He explained the work ethic of Mayank Agarwal, who sweats it out in the nets session for hours.

Further, he went on to speak on Australian fast bowling department. He showered words of praise on the quality of fast bowling displayed by Australians bowlers with the new ball.

“He [Agarwal] is the most hardworking person I have seen in the dressing room, growing up. He is one of my inspiration in the dressing room when we used to play together. I used to see him, hitting the gym, hitting the nets or doing the running… he is an absolute beast. I used to look at him and ask him ‘can we train together?’,” Rahul said as quoted by BCCI.tv.

“The quality of [Australia’s] bowling was very good. They play their cricket hard. They hit hard lengths, they kept testing you, kept bowling good balls. the intensity at which they played was something that I have never played before. As a person, I want to be in those challenges and go out and give my best,” Agarwal said.

Well, it is pleasing to see an opener praising the other player, who replaced him in the playing XI. Currently, KL Rahul Test career is on a block of thin ice, as youngsters are delivering the goods for India in absence of his scores.
