Despite losing the match-winner Ravichandran Ashwin and Rohit Sharma, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli is confident of his side for Perth challenge. Replacing the duo, India announced the 13-member squad by including Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja.
Ravichandran Ashwin is receiving treatment for a left-sided abdominal strain, while Rohit Sharma jarred his back while fielding in Adelaide. Another player missing the Test with injury is Prithvi Shaw, which gives another chance to KL Rahul-Vijay pair.
We have an equal chance – Virat Kohli
The Indian skipper Virat Kohli quoted they are 100% confident of their chances for the Perth Test. He added that Australian side are always dangerous at home but he reckoned that India has got an equal chance.

Further, he believes his bowling department can deliver the required goods to yield success at Perth. Virat Kohli gave a special mention for his bowlers saying that all of them are in top-form to deliver the success.
“We are definitely confident of the percentage of chances we have and we want to build on that,” said Kohli at a pre-match press conference before the injury problems were announced. “Obviously Australia is going to be a strong team in their home conditions and on a wicket like Perth. It probably offers you more than most other pitches in Australia. But we have an equal chance.”

”We certainly get more excited than nervous looking at lively pitches now. Because, we understand that we do have a bowling attack that can bowl the opposition out. We are confident as much as they are about their attack. When you have fast bowlers who are at the peak of their abilities it is always a great thing to have in the side,” he added.
Virat Kohli sounds pretty positive for the upcoming Test. Most probably, Hanuma Vihari will replace Rohit Sharma while it would be a toss between Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ravindra Jadeja and Umesh Yadav for the remaining slot.
