Though the recent past in the game of cricket has shown the negative side, the latest effort from the Proteas players is the pleasing sight for the cricket fanatics. South African skipper Faf du Plessis revealed that they have taken the pledge of not taunting Australian side for the embarrassing incident that took place when both teams locked horns previously.
The ball-tampering saga has been the great black spot on Cricket Australia’s history, They have always been known for their tough spirit to play for the victory till the end of the game. But, after the infamous spat, a section of people tagged them as Cheaters of the game.

The incident saw Steven Smith, David Warner and the youngster Cameron Bancroft being banned from the game for a certain period of time. Their sudden ouster from the team also saw a great decrease rate in Cricket Australia performance as well.

Meanwhile, the time has come for South Africa to travel to Australia for the limited overs series. They are set to lock horns in three ODI matches followed by one-off t20I match as well.
During the course, ahead of the first ODI, Faf du Plessis has quoted that the team has taken the pledge to not sledge Australian using the ball-tampering incident. In fact, the Proteas skipper wants to play the gentleman game in a fair way.
“I don’t think us as a team would go there,” he told reporters. “It’s got nothing to do with the cricket — it’s in the past. For us, it’s business as usual.” Faf du Plessis quoted as per Sportstarlive.

However, it has been a great step by the South African cricket to follow the professional rules of the game. Meanwhile, they would be taking on Australian with a pretty inexperienced side in the dugout.
