Bangladesh vs Windies 2018: 2nd Test – Match Review: Bangladesh obliterated the Windies by a gigantic margin of an innings and 184 innings to take the series by 2-0. The hosts had racked up a huge total of 508 runs in the first innings. However, the Windies surrendered their weapons as they didn’t have any answers to the Tiger’s questions.

Thus, it was a one-way traffic as Bangladesh steamrolled the visitors. Bangladesh had won the first Test match by a margin of 64 runs. Consequently, the hosts were able to tick the right boxes in the two-match series. The Windies had won the two-match series against Bangladesh in their home. Hence, Shakib Al Hasan led side were able to get their perfect revenge as the spinners bagged all the 20 wickets.

Bangladesh’s Test debutant Shadman Islam had a perfect start as the southpaw batsman scored a fine knock of 76 runs. The host’s skipper Shakib Al Hasan made a fine return to the International level as he scored 80 runs. In fact, Mahmudullah amassed a majestic knock of 136 runs.

Bangladesh’s lower order was also able to contribute as the hosts posted a gargantuan total of 508. Subsequently, the hosts skittled out the tourists for a Nelson. Thus, Bangladesh decided to enforce the follow-on.

Mehidy Hasan was the chief destroyer as the talented off-spinner scalped seven wickets in the first innings. Bangladesh also created a unique record as they bowled out the top five Windies batsmen. Thus, they claimed this record after a gap of 128 years.

The Windies came with a better batting performance in the second innings. The visitors made 213 courtesy a good knock of 93 from Shimron Hetmyer. However, other batsmen didn’t try to apply themselves.

Hence Bangladesh sealed the series 2-0 after Mehidy Hasan repeated his first innings performance. Hasan scalped five wickets in the second dig to help Bangladesh to a convincing win.
