IPL 2020: Brett Lee Impressed With Anrich Nortje's Bowling Speed Against Rajasthan Royals

Delhi Capitals’ paceman Anrich Nortje has been one of the best seamers in IPL 2020. Anrich Nortje went on to replace England all-rounder Chris Woakes, who opted out of the current edition, expecting the birth of his second child. Former Australian speedster Brett Lee has remained impressed over Nortje’s speeds in the ongoing match against Rajasthan Royals.

Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada have been one of the most effective and venomous fast-bowling pairs in IPL 2020. The South African so far has ten wickets from eight games and earned the man of the match award against the Rajasthan Royals for finishing with figures of 4-0-33-2. The 26-year old did miss a catch off Rahul Tewatia’s bat; however, made up for it in the slog overs by delivering a brilliant spell.
Nortje’s duel with Jos Buttler was the most eye-catching one when he came back to erode Buttler’s stumps after the Englishman took him to the cleaners earlier in the third over. It broke the game open for the Delhi Capitals as their bowlers did not let the Royals’ batsmen settle entirely. The likes of Buttler, Ben Stokes, Sanju Samson, and Robin Uthappa all got starts but could not go on to win the game. Nortje’s second wicket was of Uthappa, whose stumps he cleaned up with a picture-perfect yorker.
Below is Brett Lee’s tweet praising Anrich Nortje’s bowling speed of 156.2:
Seriously good heat from @AnrichNortje02 156.2kmph ?
