In what could be termed as the heartbreaking moment, Cricket Australia (CA) has denied Chris Lynn a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the ongoing Global T20 Canada League after raising speculations over his shoulder injury.

Meanwhile, the organisers named Lynn as the marquee player for Edmonton Royals in the ongoing inaugural Canadian competition.

However, as per reports in Cricinfo, CA, Queensland and Big Bash League (BBL) franchise Brisbane Heat jointly decided to deny permission to the aggressive player.

Lynn’s long-term issues with his right shoulder popped up when he dislocated it during Australia’s Tri-national series final win over New Zealand in February.

Since then, he had been playing with some issues for some months.

As a result, he missed the Pakistan Super League (PSL) where Lahore Qalandars (LQ) signed him.

However, he recovered significantly to play for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL. Furthermore, CA left him out of Australia squad that got the severe beating from England recently.

According to reports, the management decided he needed further rehabilitation in order to recover full range and strength in his shoulder.

Moreover, CA’s main concern is to make him fit ahead of the JLT Cup, in September. However, he is likely to participate in  Caribbean Premier League (CPL) for Trinbago Knight Riders (TNR).

A fully fit Chris Lynn will be Australia’s asset in the upcoming 2019 World Cup in England. Moreover, his importance doubled up since CA banned Steven Smith and David Warner for 12 months each. They were sanctioned following the ball-tampering saga in South Africa.
