The mainstay of Australia National Cricket Team David Warner is thoroughly disappointed with the bleak show in South Africa — and wants to make things fall in place against New Zealand during the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy, especially in home conditions.

The aggressive opener Warner asked his teammates — to display their calibre during the series against New Zealand, who whitewashed India in the ODIs and Tests after receiving 5-0 drubbing in T20Is.

Australia have not had multiple batsmen pass 50 in any match during the run of defeats, which begun in the second ODI against India in January and continued during their recent 3-0 series loss to South Africa.

Speaking of the same, Warner stated that the team is looking to counter that weakness ahead of home series.

It is disappointing: David Warner

Warner feels that the reason behind the team’s poor run in the ODI cricket is because their top four batsmen are failing to score ‘bulk of the runs’.

“The only thing I can put it (Australia’s losing streak) down to is the top four not scoring the bulk of the runs,” Warner told reporters today in Sydney.

“You can’t do it all the time but at least one of us (has to) go on and be there at the end,” he added.

However, Warner wants to have trust in the team, as they have always been brilliant for Australia when it was required. He believes the team will find balance during the upcoming series against New Zealand.

“It is disappointing but at the end of the day we’ve got to keep trying to get better at that, try to find a balance with our batting through the middle as well,” Warner added.

Well, it would be interesting to see how Australia will tackle the in-form New Zealand team. All the players in New Zealand are in fine form to make things tough for Australia.
