SunRisers Hyderabad keeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha has proved as a total asset for the team and his arrival in the playing eleven has been the turning point for the Orange Army this year. Wriddhiman Saha has two fifties out of the three matches he played in IPL 2020 and has formed a formidable opening combination with David Warner. The keeper-batsman reveals getting the signal from the think-tank to play the way he wants.
Wriddhiman Saha came into the team from their game against the Delhi Capitals and thwarted their reputed bowling attack. Saha went berserk as he hammered a 45-ball 87 against the likes of Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Axar Patel to lift the SunRisers to 219. The veteran followed that with 39 against Royal Challengers Bangalore and an unbeaten 58 against Mumbai Indians to steer his side in the playoffs.

Wriddhiman Saha underlined that David Warner and the management encouraged him to go for the shots, giving him the license to play freely. The 35-year old hailed Warner for his incredible knowledge of the game, having dominated world cricket and IPL.
“Warner and the team encourage me to go for my shots and play the way I feel confident playing. So, in that sense I have been given the license to play my own way. David Warner has dominated world cricket for several years and he has managed to do the same at the IPL. His knowledge of the game is incredibly vast,” Saha told Sports Today.
“He is the one who tells us how a bowler can be tackled” : Wriddhiman Saha
“In our team meetings, he is the one who tells us how a bowler can be tackled, his knowledge and experience is so vast. When I go to open the batting and if David Warner is at the other end, it obviously takes the pressure off me, as I know that the runs will come,” he added.
