In the continuous turns and twists of Delhi cricket, Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) appointed Parvinder Awana as their bowling coach for the upcoming Ranji Trophy. The appointment came just after the resignation from Virender Sehwag, Aakash Chopra and Rahul from their respective Cricket Committee advisory roles.
The Delhi fast bowler recently bid adieu to his international boots and was appointed as the junior selector of the Delhi cricket. However, he resigned from the role three days before the appointment as the bowling coach.

Meanwhile, the former cricketer, Chetan Sharma has been named as the replacement for Parvinder Awana. The latest addition came in the junior selection committee.
The announcement has been made public by the DDCA in a media release.
Coming to the appointment of the right-arm bowler, the respective statement told that it was a decision from the men’s selection committee. It also paved the way for the recently-retired Awana to bag the coaching role.
“Parvinder has resigned as selector Jr Selection Committee. His resignation has been accepted. And in his place, Chetan Sharma has been appointed as selector Jr Selection Committee,” the statement revealed.
“On the recommendation of the men’s Selection Committee, Parvinder Awana has been appointed bowling coach, Ranji Trophy,” a statement from the Delhi and Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) read.
Awana played for a considerable amount of time for Delhi in his first-class cricket. He was once picked for Indian team when England toured India.
However, he failed to grab any wicket to his name eventually missing out a place.
