The United Kingdom (UK) is currently going through an extended summer which further saw heat wave gripping the region. Due to the absence of rain from some past few weeks now, it is the scorching sun that pile-up miseries.
Well, the former Indian spinners feel that hot weather will prove beneficial for Team India led by Virat Kohli.

As the intensity of heat wave taking a toll on the public, there is no surprise why India picked up three spinners in the team. India and England will lock horns with each on August 1 in Birmingham.
The impact of hot weather was seen in the England dugout as well. England selectors recalled leg-spinner Adil Rashid against India.
The former spinners of India, Erapalli Prasanna, and Maninder Singh recently shared their opinions on the heatwave prevailing in the UK.

Due to the warm conditions, it is expected to be a great contest between the two teams. It is a golden opportunity for India to write a new history after 11 years in England, according to the spinners.
India played last two series against England in England way back in 2011 and 2014. India faced the defeat on both the occasions under the leadership of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
While interacting with CricketNext, Maninder Singh talked about the importance of Ravichandran Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav. Singh has played 35 matches between 1982 and 1993 and had 88 Test scalps.
“The weather will see both teams fielding more than one spinner. In such a case, I think my money is on Ashwin and Kuldeep. The simple reason is that both of them can pick wickets,” Maninder stated.
“On foreign soil you need wicket-takers. I am happy if my spinner gives away say 120 runs in 30 overs and gives me 5 wickets in return.”
One of the former spinners and a member of the famous spin quartet of the 1960s and 1970s, Erapalli Prasanna, backed India.
He is also of the belief that Indian spinners will get a lot of help from weather conditions. Besides this, he also praised Virat Kohli by calling him a “brilliant skipper.”
