In a big blow to Indian cricket, Jasprit Bumrah is ruled out of the three-match ODI series against England. In fact, Bumrah was ruled out of the ongoing T20I series against the English side. Thus, it is a massive blow to the Indian team given Bumrah credentials in the limited overs format.

The Indian linchpin bowler had suffered a fracture to his left thumb in the first T20I which had ruled him out. However, the Gujarat bowler has failed to recuperate on time which will keep him out of the ODI series as well.

Consequently, Shardul Thakur has been named as the replacement of the Indian talisman pacer. Thus, it would be a perfect opportunity for the Mumbai fast bowler to leave his mark in the ODI series against England.
However, Bumrah will like to take his time to prove his fitness for the five-match Test series. There are more than 20 days left for the much-awaited series. Thus, Bumrah should be fit as a fiddle for the red ball form.

Meanwhile, Washington Sundar was earlier ruled out due to an ankle injury. The Tamil Nadu young sensation was ruled out after suffering an injury in the training session while playing football.
Thus, Deepak Chahar was named as the replacement for Jasprit Bumrah in the shortest format. However, Krunal Pandya replaced Sundar for the T20I series. Furthermore, Axar Patel replaced Washington Sundar for the 50-overs format.
