As expected, the heat started right on the day one of the first Test of five-match Test series at Edgbaston in Birmingham. It was Indian skipper, Virat Kohli, who took the lead role to keep the things on fire. Ironically, he returned it to England’s skipper, Joe Root with a mic-drop mock.

In addition, the enthralling limited-over series has ended on Root’s mic-drop celebration. And, now, Kohli brought back the same celebration to mock England’s leader who scored brilliant 80 off 156 deliveries.

Also, Virat Kohli bullseye:

After the initial jolt, Root took the onus of the team on him. He demonstrated his classy strokes to the Indians and kept them chasing the leather. His solid defence coupled with boundaries off wrong deliveries kept visitors on the check.

However, owing to the same old theory, it was run-out which made things quite easy for India. But with the throw coming from one of India’s best fielders, Kohli he instantly brought his mic-drop celebration to mock Root.

Moreover, coming to the status of the game, it was England, who won the toss and asked the visitors to bowl first. Moreover, the surprise move, Ravichandran Ashwin rattled the defence of Alastair Cook with a magical delivery.

Jenning was quickly followed by Dawid Malan. However, Jonny Bairstow knocked it beautifully to keep Indians at the bat for some time.

It was again Ashwin who took the back-to-back wickets of Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler to bring India back on the track. But the sudden pickup performance from Indian Pace quadrant saw England drop down to nine wickets.

Further, at the end of Day one, Sam Curran (24*) is battling it out with James Anderson to cross the 300-run barrier.
