ENG vs IND 2018: Watch - Ravi Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja Prepare Hard for England Tests

Two of India’s biggest match winners in Tests, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja worked their time in nets sessions of late. Both tried new variations in the practice sessions to add a variety to their bowling ahead of the England Tests.
With the heatwave in England, the pitches are expected to be dry and hard. As the conditions probably help spinners, the senior men in the side, Jadeja and Ashwin will play a huge role in India’s chances alongside Kuldeep Yadav in the five-day format, starting August 1st.
Ashwin, Jadeja key to India’s success in England
Ashwin and Jadeja have been the go-to bowlers for India in spinning conditions. They both delivered the goods time and time again to hand India many memorable victories in the last couple of years.
Compared to their stats in India, Ashwin and Jadeja don’t possess a great record in the English conditions. Both the players leaked runs on their previous tour, subsequently, to be out from the team.
However, it seems like both of them are sincerely trying to make the most of this year’s tour. With the pitch expected to suit the spinners, the experience of Ashwin and Jadeja will hold the key for India.
Sometimes I feel we over-cook, over-prepare ourselves: Ashwin
Meanwhile, recently, in an interview with ICC, Ravichandran Ashwin quoted England is a lovely place to play cricket. He went to say he loves to play according to the game situations and responding accordingly to it.
Speaking of the preparations, Ashwin doesn’t want the team to be over-prepared or over-cooked. He wants the team to be ready at that moment of time rather than being over-prepared.
“Sometimes I feel we over-cook, over-prepare ourselves. It is important to stay in the moment and react to it. It will be crucial on how early we acclimatize in the series. Once we do that it’s all about reacting to the situation and having that belief that you can retaliate at any point because it’s a long Test series. We are going to commit mistakes and so will the home team. I want to use my experience that I have played Test cricket for and try to make it to best use,” Ashwin said.
However, it would be interesting to see how Ashwin and Jadeja carry their form in England. Of late, the emergence of wrist spinners made the Ravi-duo to be called Test specialists.
