ENG VS IND 2018: Yuvraj Singh Comes Up With a Heartwarming Tweet for Virat Kohli

India managed to wrap up first two days of the first Test on a significant note, and all credit goes to skipper Virat Kohli. India was struggling on 100 for the loss of five wickets to 169 for seven and India finally ended up with 274. It was a scintillating performance from Indian skipper which saw Yuvraj Singh shutting down the critics of Kohli in his own way.

After having a torrid tour in 2014, Kohli answered his detractors in a splendid fashion. In the last visit, Kohli could only manage 134 in 10 innings, but things are far different in 2018.

Kohli started this series with a grand entry announcing himself with like a roaring lion. He scored a fabulous knock of 149 off 225 deliveries. Out of them twenty-two times, he managed to find the fence including a six as well.

Kohli shepherded the tail and led a brilliant counter-attack to script a recovery for India. He added 94 runs as a joint partnership with last two wickets. Out of 94, Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma together garner only six runs.

With his sizzling performance, India only fell short of 13 runs owing to England’s first innings total of 287.

He was the last batsman to walk from Indian camp. With the mystery of Ravichandran Ashwin, India could grab the opportunity as they ended up the day on a positive note.

While talking about his performance and the chances which India has in this Test match, Kohli said,

“It wasn’t only about getting to the three-figure mark, but also to capitalize on the hundred. I was very disappointed when I got out because I thought we could’ve taken a 10-15 run lead. But, in hindsight, we wouldn’t have been able to bowl then. So, I’d accept what God’s bestowed upon me.”

In the meantime, The middle-order batsman of India, Yuvraj Singh took Twitter to cherish Kohli’s effort. In his tweet, Yuvraj said that his skipper does not need anything to prove now.
