England vs India has had witnessed so far epic duels, particularly in the Test fold. 134 off 10 innings, probably, the mentioned line has got the huge limelight from the last couple of weeks. Don’t worry, it wasn’t a mathematical question, it was the tally registered by Virat Kohli when India toured the United Kingdom in 2014.

Since then, Kohli has become the most accomplished player. Bashing all the critics aside, Kohli smashed a brilliant 149 right in his first innings of 2018 UK tour, showing the world where he is now.

The Team India skipper Kohli crossed his previous tally of 133 thus receiving standing ovations across the globe. During the course of his sterling knock, he registered few records to his name as a player and a skipper in nutshell.

Virat Kohli completes 7000 International runs as a skipper:

Kohli, who registered his first Test century on England soil also gathered few other records as well. He became the quickest (124) to reach 7,000 international runs while surpassing the Windies’ great Brian Lara (164).

Coming to the status of the game, earlier in the day on Thursday (August 2), India rolled out England for 287 runs on the board. In reply to the chase, Indian openers did well to pair 50-run partnership but couldn’t continue with it.

The 20-year old Sam Curran has been the wrecker-in-chief who sent both the openers and new number three batsman, KL Rahul in a quick succession.

1 – Virat Kohli completes 7,000 runs in International cricket as captain in just 124 innings. He is the quickest to the milestone surpassing Brian Lara, who completed in 164 innings.

1 – Kohli has the second highest conversion rate of 50 to 100 at 57.89%. He is second only to Sir Don Bradman.

11 – The last time Dinesh Kartik played Tests in England was just 11 years ago. He played when India toured in 2007.
