Discarded India opener, Gautam Gambhir heaped praises on the Indian team who produced a magnificent performance on day two of the Trent Bridge Test against England. India is in a situation where they can boss the Test on day three and can bat England out of the match.
Earlier, Hardik Pandya bagged his maiden five-wicket haul in the first innings. He was superb with his line and length and returned with magical figures of 5/28 in his six overs spell against England.
Hardik Pandya was absolutely brilliant. There has been a lot of criticism about his selection in the past, and Michael Holding was one among them. However, the all-rounder was magnificent on day two and so were the other bowlers as well. Ishant Sharma, Bumrah and Shami all bowled pretty well.

India is currently in a dominating position on day three of the Trent Bridge Test. If they can bat the whole day, they will be in a winning place by tomorrow.
India is in a very good position, feels Gautam Gambhir
“All in all India is in very good position. They would only be looking to consolidate their position going and Day 3 will be another important day for India. If they can get anything above 450 they will be in a winning position,” Gambhir said.

After being pushed back to the wall, India has responded in a sensational matter and still stands a realistic chance of winning the series. After bowling out England for 161 runs inside the 39th overs, the Indian batters provided a stern resistant in the final session of day three.
