One of the finest off spinners of all time, Harbhajan Singh has questioned the inclusion of youngster Hanuma Vihari in the Team India for the fifth and the final Test against England. Vihari made his Test debut in the ongoing match at Kennington Oval in London. He was preferred ahead of Karun Nair, who has a triple century in Test Cricket.

Hence it is justifiable for the pundits to question the inclusion of Vihari ahead of Nair. Vihari was picked in place of all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who has been pretty ordinary for the major part of the series.

The visiting team is aiming to salvage some pride from the final encounter. Hence Virat Kohli decided to make a couple of changes. The forced change came in the form of Ravichandran Ashwin, who aggravates his groin injury.

Harbhajan said that he was really surprised to see Vihari get the nod ahead of a more experienced international batsman Nair. But He has a triple century against England in Tests as well.

Harbhajan Singh surprised to see the addition of Hanuma Vihari ahead of Karun Nair:

“I am bit surprised to see Hanuma Vihari playing ahead of Karun Nair. Karun has been part of the team from the first match itself and didn’t get to play a game. Nair has been on the Tour from the beginning, hasn’t got a game, but the new gut comes into the team from the fourth Test and straight away gets to play,” India Today quoted Harbhajan as saying.

While many doubted the inclusion of Vihari ahead of Nair, many agreed to Kohli’s call as he can also bowl some off breaks. Before Kohli brought in Ravindra Jadeja, Vihari bowled a solitary over.

Meanwhile, Harbhajan also lashed out at the selection policy as he was disappointed with the non-inclusion of Mayank Agarwal in the Asia Cup 2018 squad.

“I don’t know who is selecting the team. I don’t know what is going on.  Because I fail to understand why they left out Mayank Agarwal from the one-day squad. Something is definitely wrong there. The procedure, process – whatever you call it,” Harbhajan added.

The fifth and the final Test is currently underway. Also, the visitors will definitely want to finish the tour with a victory.
