Although India had begun its pivotal five-match Test series with a defeat but eventually on a positive note, the fans at the same time would be feeling proud the way visitors fought in Edgbaston Test. The three young bowlers could be introduced during the later stage of the ongoing red-ball series.

Indian management needs to address the problems before they stride out to feature in the next task. The second Test match is taking place at the Mecca of Cricket, Lord’s. But as of now, rain has played the spoilsport.

However, Virat Kohli and company will try to take avenge following intense practice in the net sessions at Lord’s. The revenge is said to be sweeter and its time for Team India to payback in style.

It was the batting unit that led Indian team down in the Birmingham Test. Following this, many changes are expected for the remainder of the series.

Earlier Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced 18-member squad for first three Test matches against England. It seems that BCCI is doing homework to the leave the odd one out. The inconsistent ones will be the odd ones here.

Apart from the batting department, many changes are expected in the bowling unit also. Some bowlers may get replaced to provide a springboard for the young guns.

Considering the injuries of Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneswhar Kumar, few voids need to be filled. With the addition to that, Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav were little rusty towards the end of the second innings of England that is the primary concern of Edgbaston defeat.

Here we are about to look at three bowlers who could get a Test nod for the last two Tests.

3. Mohammed Siraj:

Mohammed Siraj is enjoying his form of the life right now. He recently made his limited-overs debut under the leadership of Virat Kohli. He is featuring for Indian B team right now.

In the last month, Siraj was a treat to watch in England. He garnered rich praises after he castled opening batsman of England, Alastair Cook in the second innings of the three-day game.

Siraj bowled a match-winning spell against Windies A after India was trailing by 110 runs. He turned the fortunes of the match as he got eight scalps in that particular game that eventually helped India to get a record win over the opposition.

He got the wickets of many senior cricketers like Dawid Malan, Alastair Cook, and Chris Woakes. Besides a five-for, he got nine wickets with an impressive average of 8.22.

He has a lot on an offer and pace like Umesh Yadav, and he may grab a chance in the last two Tests. There would be no surprise if he managed to catch the eyeballs of selectors.

2 Deepak Chahar:

Exciting Deepak Chahar is probably the closest synonym of word ‘unlucky.’ He is enjoying his form of the life who unfortunately could not get a Test nod. After performing well in the IPL, he got a place in the Tri-nation series.

India A along with Windies A and England Lions took part in the round. After displaying a superb performance by taking 14 wickets in just six matches, Chahar earned his maiden call in T20s against England.

Given aggravated injury of Bhuvneswhar Kumar, Chahar could fill the boots of Kumar in his absence. He can do the same damage which Bhuvi is capable of with his swinging deliveries.

The 25-year-old Chahar has more than a hundred scalps in First-class cricket that depicts he is not a newbie to this format.

In the absence of Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar, India is in a strong need to have a bowler like him. There would not be any surprises if he could grab his place in the last two Tests.

1 Ankit Rajpoot:

Ankit Rajpoot became the next poster boy of Punjab following his remarkable performance. He enjoyed the spotlight after he took four wickets for 14 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the IPL.
His performance in the recent edition of IPL earned him a Test call to India A side.

Before a month, he fulfilled the expectations reasonably that management was having with him.

Rajpoot took a five-wicket haul against Windies A.

In the three-days unofficial Test against England Lions, he bowled with such guile while being consistent throughout the day. He irritated Alastair Cook throughout the day and finally enjoyed the last laugh.

Being a lanky pacer, he is capable of bowling short constantly. His height helps him to have an advantage irrespective of any playing conditions.

With his recent performance in the latest outings, he may grab the place in the remaining two Tests against England .as one of the bowlers.
