Team India started off their United Kingdom (UK) tour on a brilliant fashion after beating Ireland by a 2-0 margin in the recently-concluded Twenty20I series at Malahide Cricket Club in Dublin.
It was a sheer domination from Team India. They ended up winning the opening match by 76 runs and the final one by a massive margin of 143 runs.
Moreover, it also happens to be the biggest victory by runs in India’s T20I history. They are all set to face a much sterner challenge in the form of England in a few day’s time.
However, they will be quite pleased with the sort of preparations they have for the series early on.
England is playing some terrific cricket in the limited-overs format and it will certainly be a litmus test for the Men in Blue to come out on top.
Now, without wasting any time, let us have a look at the five biggest victories for Team India in the shortest format
76 runs vs Ireland in Dublin, 2018:
The Men in Blue registered a 76 runs victory in only the opening match of the series. After batting first, India posted a mammoth total of 208 runs. It was a splendid knock from Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan respectively which laid the foundation for a big score.
Rohit missed his century by just three runs as Peter Chase castled him in the last over.
Dhawan chipped in with a quickfire 74. With the ball in the hand, the wrist spinning duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal was quite brilliant. They bagged seven wickets between them and restricted Ireland to 132.
88 runs vs Sri Lanka in Indore, 2017:
India registered their highest T20I score courtesy a sublime knock from the blade of Rohit Sharma. After batting first India got off to a fantastic start.
Rohit looked in unbelievable touch from the word go and decimated the bowlers with disdain. He smashed a scintillating knock of 118 runs which came in a mere 42 deliveries. Freakish innings to say the least.
His partner KL Rahul also chipped in with 89 off 49 deliveries as India amassed 260 runs in their allotted 20 overs.
Yet again, it was the wrist spinning duo of Kuldeep and Chahal, who did the job for India. They bagged seven wickets between them as India completed an 88-run victory. For the Lankans, Kusal Perera was the top scorer with 77.

India batted first and posted a competitive score of 170 on the board. Rohit Sharma was the top scorer for India with a fine knock of 55 of 33 deliveries.
On the other side, Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli also chipped in with 45 and 40 respectively as India put up a good total on the board.
England was never in the chase and lost two wickets to Irfan Pathan pretty early on.
The pick of the Indian bowlers was Harbhajan Singh. The tweaker bagged four wickets for just 12 runs to skittle out the Brits for a paltry total of 80 in the 15th over.
Well, it was an utterly dominant performance by India which saw them excel in all three departments of the game.
93 runs vs Sri Lanka in Cuttack:
India batting first posted a score of 180 on the board which was always going to be competitive in any ground.
Rahul played a good knock at the top of the order and scored 61 off 48 deliveries. However, the late impetus of the innings was provided by Manish Pandey and Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Both remain unbeaten on 32 and 39 respectively.
The Lankans messed it up from the word go. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and found no way to claw their way back into the game.
For yet another occasion, Chahal and Kuldeep were quite special. Chahal bagged four wickets whereas, Kuldeep bagged a couple as India bowled them out for just 87 runs in 16 overs.
143 runs vs Ireland in Dublin, 2018:
It was an utterly dominant performance from India on Friday (June 29). They played an attacking brand of cricket and were all over Ireland.
After batting first they posted a huge score of 213. KL Rahul struck a brilliant knock of 72 off 36 deliveries which included six sixes and three boundaries. Suresh Raina also chipped in with a useful 67 off 45 deliveries.
Hardik Pandya played a breezy knock of 32 off just nine deliveries which were studded with four sixes and a solitary boundary. Ireland was quite ordinary and never found their feet.
