In the age of social media, every activity of the celebrities are minutely followed. Cricket is like a religion in India and their players are worshipped like gods. With many advantages of being on social media comes many disadvantages. While many young and upcoming cricketers are on social media as they like using these platforms, there are few who are on them because of the peer-pressure or because their managing agencies have asked them to use the platforms.
Many Indian cricketers are a social media trollers favourite with every movement of theirs turning into massive social media trolls. They always trend on social media no matter what they do – good or bad. However, it hardly takes a toll on the illustrious career of the cricketers and the continue to do what they want. On the other hand, many hits back at the trollers giving them some befitting replies.
Let us take a look at the five most trolled Indian National Cricket team players on social media:
AAKASH CHOPRA
Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra turned commentator has often received trolls on social media for his out of the box posts on Twitter. He has made the microblogging site a platform to express his opinions regarding various issues. While many have grown a liking for him, most of the followers have taken a dig at him every time he has posted anything on social media.
Chopra who played only ten Test matches for India was the unsung hero during the 2003-04 series against Australia at their turf. He was a vital cog in India’s retention of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia. Although his international career didn’t last long, Chopra made rapid progress as a TV presenter.

But his statements and posts have made him a troller favourite but this couldn’t stop the former cricketer from expressing is views and is very active on social media.
SANJAY MANJREKAR
Sanjay Manjrekar comments and match analysis are pretty much in the firing line for the social media trollers. Also, his biasness for Mumbai Indians during the Indian Premier League from the commentary stand or on social media has been an easy material for the trollers to target. It’s understandable that one is supporting a team but he seems to overdo it.
Meanwhile, his recent dig towards fast bowlers Jaydev Unadkat and Umesh Yadav didn’t go down well with the vast social media followers. Manjrekar, who played 37 Tests and 74 ODIs has a very bad choice of words due to which he is a hot favourite among Indian cricketers on social media.
Sanjay Manjrekar talking crap on commentary as usual. I really wonder how much he pays to be on the air. #IPL2019

However, Manjrekar is no mood to learn from the mistakes and continues with his antics on social media. Also, his presence in the commentary box has made this game boring with him only praising the Mumbai cricketers.
RAVINDRA JADEJA
Ravindra Jadeja has been trending on social media for quite a number of years now. Meanwhile, it is not because of poor performance or anything of that sot but just for the sake of it. He mostly trends on social media whenever India or Chennai Super Kings have a match going on.
The all-rounder from Saurashtra attracts trolls whenever he performs badly and even when he delivers a match-winning effort. He is the best among all the cricketers on social media. Jadeja is also routinely made fun of by his team-mates including the former India skipper MS Dhoni. The Chennai skipper has trolled Jadeja consistently from behind the stumps.

God realised RAJNI sir is getting old so he created sir ravindra jadeja

Despite all the trolling, Jadeja has kept up the good work and will travel to England with the Indian team for the World Cup. Currently, he is donning the Chennai jersey in the ongoing IPL and is doing a good job for his side.
ASHISH NEHRA
Following his retirement from cricket in 2017, Ashish Nehra is currently working with the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. During his playing days and now after his retirement from cricket, Nehra has been a trollers favourite on various social media site.
Meanwhile, it is not only when Nehra had an off-day in business that he received trolls. He trended consistently on social media and mostly because of his on-field antics. And now, every time Bangalore loses a game in IPL. the trollers vent all their anger on the former cricketer.

Meanwhile, Nehra doesn’t buy an ear to these and has continued with his job like a seasoned campaigner.
ASHOK DINDA
Despite being a star at the domestic level, Ashok Dinda has failed to replicate his performance in the international circuit. As a result, his stint with the Indian team was short-lived to only 13 ODIs and nine T20I matches picking 12 and 17 wickets respectively. However, his economy has been on the higher side which made him fade away.
Due to his economy being on the higher side, Dinda has been the social media trollers favourite. In the ongoing IPL, the trollers have taken a dig at him every time a bowler conceded too many runs. They have dragged the Bengal pacer whenever a bowler had an off day in the business saying that the particular bowler has joined the Dinda Academy. It has been a trend on social media since the start of IPL 2019.

Meanwhile, Dinda recently has hit back to the trollers asking them to keep his name away from their mouth. He also posts a few images on social media showing his rich statistics to hit back at the trollers.
I personally have no hard feelings for anyone and have always had a fondness for the team for legends like @imVkohli , @ABdeVilliers17 , @henrygayle and also since I had once called it home. You are surely answerable @RCBTweets pic.twitter.com/qGKEIAhhIT
