The swashbuckling all-rounder of the Australia National Cricket Team Glenn Maxwell gets engaged to Indian-origin Vini Raman on Wednesday. The couple shared the news with the fans via the social media platform – Instagram. However, the wedding date is yet to be revealed.

Maxwell was dating Indian-origin Melbourne resident Vini, who is a pharmacist, for the past couple of years, and their serious relation came into the light when she posted the picture of herself with the star cricketer on social media way back in 2017.

Vini and Maxwell have been dating for over two years, but so far there has been no indication that the couple is ready to tie the knot.

Since news broke out that Maxwell is in a relationship with Vini, the question on everyone’s minds is whether the Australian star batsman is going to tie the knot or not. But, the latest update confirmed that duo will soon get married.

If Maxwell and Vini decide to tie the knot, he will be the second Australian cricketer to marry an Indian woman.

Former Australian bowler Shaun Tait married Mashoom Singha in 2014 after meeting at an IPL party and dating for a year.

On the work front, the all-rounder was ruled out of Australia’s limited-overs tour to South Africa due to an elbow injury that required surgery.

Maxwell had previously led his BBL franchise Melbourne Stars, to the final of this year’s edition of the T20 tournament and was in the prime form of his life, after taking a short break from cricket due to mental health issues.

The all-rounder is expected to be back during Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. Maxwell was bought a whopping Rs 10.75 crore by Kings XI Punjab for IPL 2020.
