19 September 2007, India vs England, World T20, it was a special day when Yuvraj Singh smashed six sixes in an over. It was a remarkable feat achieved by India’s talisman as he was on fire. Yuvraj had a heated argument with England’s all-rounder Andrew Flintoff which was a perfect icing on the cake. The southpaw batsman was all pumped up and was in the groove as he took Broad to the cleaners.

The left-hander became the first T20I batsman to score half a dozen sixes in an over. In fact, Yuvraj scored the fastest T20I fifty as he got there in just 12 balls. Yuvraj scored 58 runs off just 16 balls to finish India’s innings on a high. The left-hander powered India to a gargantuan total of 218 runs.

Yuvraj Singh was breathing fire.

Meanwhile, a good start was provided by Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag who both scored crucial fifties. They had put together an alliance of 136 runs for the opening stand.

On the other hand, Yuvraj Singh was in the form of his life. He had also scored a blistering knock of 70 runs off just 30 balls in the semi-final clash against Australia. India had gone on to win the inaugural edition of the World T20.

Meanwhile, Yuvraj was able to take his sweet revenge on England. Yuvraj was at the receiving end when Dimitri Mascarenhas took him to cleaners and scored five sixes in an over against him.

Thus, Yuvraj knew what it feels like to be under pressure and Stuart Broad was the prey of some brutal hitting. Yuvraj has always been a player of the big tournaments as he was the Player of the series in the 2011 World Cup.

BCCI Twitter handle took to their account to remember Yuvraj Singh’s special knock.
