Hang Me if Found Guilty in BCCI Match-Fixing Probe Says Mohammed Shami

Team India pacer Mohammed Shami has been charged under several penal acts after his wife Hasin Jahan accused him of adultery, attempt to murder and having several extra-marital affairs.

The Supreme Court appointed Committee of Administrators led by Vinod Rai has asked BCCI’s ANTI Corruption unit to carry out a thorough investigation.

Meanwhile, Shami has denied all the allegations made by his wife. However, the BCCI decided to withheld his annual contract until the investigation is in process. Shami said that if he is found guilty after the probe, he should be hanged.

It was on March 7 that Shami’s wife Jahan took the cricketing world by storm when she levelled several bailable and non-bailable charges against the fast bowler. Taking to her facebook handle, she posted screenshots of the alleged messages which Shami had with other women. She also added that his family members tortured her for the last two years and even wanted to kill her.

Shami broke into tears during a conversation with India News. Shami stood firm in his views that he has played cricket with dignity and there was no question of match-fixing. He asserted on the fact that he cannot deceive his country. The pacer also added that he is ready to be hanged to death if found guilty in the BCCI probe but if it’s not the case, then his wife has to come out and give all the answers. It is surely an unfortunate allegation levelled on a particular individual who has served his nation with dignity till now.

Denying all the match-fixing allegations, Shami said that it is a proud feeling always to represent India. It still gives him goosebumps as and when he steps on to the field in Indian colours.

“The Indian cricket board cancelled my annual contract in a rush. I have played the game in free and fair manner” before saying, “hang me if I found guilty in the BCCI investigation”.
