Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul To Miss Australian Series Following Their Sexist Comments In Koffee With Karan Show

Well, the thing, which Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul is fearing has come into existence. They have been suspended to play the game for the next few days until the declaration of the punishment is announced. The respective CoA Member Diana Edulji has been pretty strict and harsh on the cricketers for their sexist comments.

Recently, Edulji replied to Vinod Rai quoting that Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul should be punished strictly, as the comments on women are not in great taste. Further, she believes that the board should not encourage such poor behaviour. The BCCI secretary Amitabh Choudary also isn’t impressed with those comments.

Both players will be under suspension – Diana Edulji

Meanwhile, after sorting the legal opinion, Diana Edulji confirmed that the concerned cricketers will be under suspension until the official punishment is announced. Further, she added that the same will be informed to Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul and the team management.

“It is imperative that players be put under suspension till further course of action is decided. For this misconduct as was done in case of (BCCI) CEO (Rahul Johri). He was sent on leave on sexual harassment matter,” read Edulji’s response to the legal opinion which is in possession of PTI.

“Based on legal opinion and the final procedure is laid down to address this issue. We will recommend that communication is sent to concerned players and team immediately.” Edulji wrote in response to recommendations from the Board’s legal firm Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.

Meanwhile, the legal copy stated that the current trouble doesn’t fall under the current code of conduct rules, which is making a delay in announcing the fine for the respective cricketers. They are trying to find few loopholes to announce their punishments.

”We feel that present matter doesn’t fall under the ambit of Code of Conduct. And also, not the procedure of Code of Conduct can’t be invoked in present circumstances.” it read.

Well, things have become pretty harsh for the Indian cricketers. Perhaps, they wouldn’t have expected this kind of outrage from the society. But, being a responsible national job holder, one needs to be aware of it.
