Things might not have gone well on the field for Hardik Pandya from the last one year or so but his life off the field has been completely opposite. The ongoing year has turned out to be a blessing for the Indian allrounder. On the very first day of the year, he announced his engagement with Bollywood actress Natasa Stankovic.
In May, he announced that the couple are expecting their first child. And finally on June 30, the lovebirds were blessed with their first child, a baby boy. Well, Hardik Pandya, on Monday, revealed the name of his newborn in his latest Instagram post.
He took to the social media platform to post a picture of himself sitting on a toy car and revealed the name of his son there. While thanking a car dealership store for sending the toy Mercedes-AMG for his child, Hardik Pandya mentioned his name as well which is ‘Agastya’.
Here is his Instagram story:
Hardik Pandya has not played for India since September last year. The 26-year old underwent a successful surgery in October to treat an acute lower-back injury. The back injury was bothering him since the 2018 Asia Cup. In December, he was named in the India A squad for the one-day games in New Zealand.
However, he was later pulled out of the team as he was not match ready. He finally returned to action in DY Patil T20 Tournament in March. He had impressed straightaway by scoring two whirlwind centuries in addition to picking up a five-wicket haul in the tournament.
Later, Hardik Pandya was named in India’s ODI squad for the South Africa series too before the series was called off in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak. He will be seen in action in September when the IPL starts in the UAE. IPL 2020 is set to start from September 19.
