Where Is This Wasim Akram Coming In And Bowling Yorkers? Hardik Pandya Trolls Krunal Pandya Following MI's Victory Over KXIP

Krunal Pandya and Hardik Pandya had instrumental roles to play in Mumbai Indians’ victory over Kings XI Punjab in Abu Dhabi on Thursday. Krunal Pandya and Hardik Pandya both starred in different departments that helped Mumbai Indians ascend to the top of the table. Following their 48-run victory, Hardik Pandya cheekily trolled his elder brother.

Hardik Pandya, who plays as a finisher for Mumbai Indians, provided the late flourish for his side, lifting them to 191 after a considerably slow start. Pandya came in at the loss of skipper Rohit Sharma and added an unbeaten 67 for the fifth wicket along with Kieron Pollard off only 23 deliveries. The Baroda all-rounder stayed not out at 30 while Pollard, who secured the man of the match award was at 47 off 20 deliveries.

Hardik Pandya hilariously asked Krunal Pandya in a video interview that how is Wasim Akram coming in and delivering yorkers. When speaking of Krunal’s performances, he dismissed Karun Nair for a duck and finished with figures of 4-0-27-1.

“We are seeing this new thing coming. Where is this Wasim Akram coming in and bowling yorkers?” Hardik questioned.

In response, the spin-bowling all-rounder claimed that as the batsmen have evolved, bowlers need to do the same to prevent themselves from going for plenty of runs. Krunal added that as long as the plans get executed well, it will all come right.

“These days the batting skill has gone so, so up and the way the wickets are.. you have to find your own way to make doesn’t go after you. Sometimes, you have to do all this. At the end of the day, if you execute your plans, you are going to be happy,” the 29-year old stated.

The left-arm spinner further stated that when he came to bowl in the fourth over, Kings XI Punjab were on track. That was the point when he took the challenge of bowling according to the field and that the match could turn if he did well.

“When I came in the 4th over, they were going really well. I was just thinking one thing that I should be bowling according to the field. I was very determined as well. Today, I was determined, I took it as a challenge, they were going well and thought ‘If I bowl good here, we are again back in the game,” Krunal Pandya added further.
