Calcutta High Court Orders Police To Provide Mohammed Shami's Estranged Wife Hasin Jahan Security After She Receives Death Threats On Social Media

India and Kings XI Punjab pace-bowling spearhead Mohammed Shami’s estranged wife Hasin Jahan has been provided security by the city police on order of the Calcutta High Court after she claimed that she has been receiving rape and death threats on her social media post where she had put out a congratulatory message on Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan in Ayodhya on August 05.
Hasin Jahan had filed an FIR [First Investigation Report] at Lal Bazar Police Station under the cybercrime department while an investigation is underway, no arrests have been made as of yet.

After hearing both sides, Justice Debangsu Basak ordered the Kolkata police on Tuesday to ensure that no harm befalls the petitioner in respect of her life and property.
Hasin Jahan had put a congratulatory post on the auspicious occasion of Ram Mandir Bhoomi Poojan on August 05 in Ayodhya, following which she was harassed in the comment section. One of the users, Hasib Khan had verbally abused her before threatening to rape her. Some even threatened to murder her.
