Delhi Capitals will be looking to book their place in the final of IPL for the first time in their history by beating defending champions Mumbai Indians in the ongoing first Qualifier of IPL 2020 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai.
Delhi Capitals made it to the playoffs for the second time in a row after finishing the league stage at the second spot with an impressive eight wins from 14 games. The Delhi-based outfit is the only side in the history of the IPL which is yet to make it to the playoffs despite playing in the league from the very first season.

Reason behind sporting black armbands:
Delhi Capitals players were seen sporting black armbands when they took the field after their skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to field first. The reason behind the gesture is to pay tribute to fast-bowler Mohit Sharma’s father who recently passed away.
Mohit Sharma has failed to be a regular player for Delhi in the ongoing season. The right-arm pacer has played just one game in the season so far and is unlikely to get any other chance in the remainder of IPL 2020. In his sole appearance in IPL 2020, he had conceded 45 runs while picking up one wicket against Kings XI Punjab.

Talking about the game, Mumbai Indians were 100 for 3 in the 12th over at the time of compiling this record. The reigning champions, who finished the league stage at the top of the table, started disastrously and lost their skipper Rohit Sharma for a duck.
Quinton de Kock and Suryakumar Yadav then steadied the ship by adding 62 runs for the first wicket before the former departed for 40. Yadav, on the other hand, departed after scoring 51, leaving his team reeling at 100 for 3.
