Former India National Cricket Team head coach Ravi Shastri has revealed how the Indian team dealt with sledging in the Australia tours during his tenure as head coach, stating that he had told his players if they receive one expletive, give them three back.
Under head coach, Ravi Shastri India successfully managed to win two Test tours in Australia, one under the leadership of Virat Kohli and the second under the leadership of Ajinkya Rahane.

Meanwhile, former India head coach Ravi Shastri while speaking to British publication The Guardian, said that it’s all about attitude when a team play in Australia.
“…it was also outlining how we want to play: to be aggressive and ruthless, to up the fitness levels, to get a group of fast bowlers to take 20 wickets overseas.
“And it was about attitude, especially when playing the Aussies. I told the boys if one single expletive comes your way, give them three back: two in our language and one in theirs,” Shastri said.
