ICC ODI Rankings: Rohit Sharma Takes Second Place, Kuldeep Rises to Number Three

India’s limited overs deputy Rohit Sharma has taken massive strides in the latest ICC ODI Rankings. The flamboyant batsman is now the second-ranked batsman in the 50-overs format. In fact, Rohit Sharma had a prolific Asia Cup, which India went on to win. Rohit Sharma led from the front as he scored 317 runs in the multi-nation tournament in the five matches. Rohit had scored one hundred and two fifties at a staggering average of 105.66.
Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav also took giant steps in the rankings table. The mystery chinaman spinner jumped to the third rank in the ICC bowlers rankings. Kuldeep Yadav has attained the highest rating in his career of 700. India’s captain Virat Kohli was also able to retain his position at the pinnacle.

On the other hand, Rohit Sharma’s opening partner Shikhar Dhawan gain four spots in the latest rankings. The southpaw batsman ended the tournament with 342 runs as the leading run-scorer and also as the Player of the tournament.
Meanwhile, India’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah retained his numero uno position in the ICC Bowler’s rankings. Bumrah was once again right on the money in the Asia Cup as he scalped eight wickets in the four matches. Furthermore, he didn’t let the batsmen off the hook.

Rashid Khan who took 10 wickets in the tournament and was the leading wicket-taker of the series, moved to the summit of the all-rounder’s rankings.
Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja who made his comeback to the colored jersey after the gap of 15 months took a massive jump in the rankings. The all-rounder gained 14 spots to move to the 39th rank in the bowler’s rankings after taking seven wickets in the Asia Cup.
