ICC World Cup 2019: Abhishek Bachchan Trolls Virat Kohli for Posing with Harry Kane

Indian captain Virat Kohli posted a picture with Tottenham Hotspur star and striker Harry Kane at the Lord’s Cricket Ground. Kohli wrote that it was a pleasure for him to meet the Football star. However, Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan didn’t miss the chance to pull the leg of the Indian captain.

Abhishek Bachchan who is a die-hard fan of Chelsea Football Club replied to Virat Kohli’s post. The actor posted a picture in which Virat Kohli is seen holding the 18 number jersey of Chelsea. The picture was posted by Kohli five years ago in 2014 when India had toured England.

On the other hand, Harry Kane, who is the skipper of the England football team also shared the same picture on his Twitter handle. In fact, we have seen that both of these world-class players had shared Tweets in the past.

Kane post read as, “After a few tweets in the last couple of years good to finally meet @imVkohli. A great guy and a brilliant sportsman.” 

Kohli also shared the same picture with the lanky striker and wrote,  “It was a pleasure meeting you @HKane and all the best for the finals.”

Subsequently, Abhishek Bachchan took a friendly dig at the captain and shared his picture of 2014 with Chelsea.

Meanwhile, when India had toured England last year, Virat Kohli was welcomed by Southampton Football Club. Kohli had posed with Southampton striker Danny Ings holding a Saints jersey.

In fact, Virat Kohli is a great supporter of Football. He is the co-owner of Goa Football Club in the Indian Super League.

On the other hand, Virat Kohli is going to lead India in the upcoming World Cup. India will begin their World Cup preparation with the warm-up match against New Zealand. Men in Blue will also take on Bangladesh in the second warm-up match. Virat Kohli’s men will begin their World Cup campaign against South Africa on 5th June.
