ICC World Cup 2019: "I Didn't Really See It" - Jofra Archer on Virat Kohli's Recent Comments Calling Him an X-Factor

England Cricket Team fast bowler Jofra Archer has been in the headlines leading to the ICC World Cup 2019. His ability to consistently click the 90mph mark has got the top-ranked ODI batsman, Virat Kohli pick him as the X-Factor for England in the marquee event. Archer has finally responded to Kohli’s comments a few hours before the start of the tournament.

Archer confident of doing well against Kohli

Meanwhile, Archer was the last minute inclusion in England squad following his impressive show against Pakistan. His ability to bowl with great accuracy and consistent pace has grabbed the eyeballs from all quarters. Soon after his selection, Jofra Archer admitted that he is eyeing the prized wicket of Virat Kohli. Although Kohli didn’t pay much heed to it, the talismanic run-scorer said that Archer will be the X-factor for England in the World Cup.

Jofra Archer has finally responded to comment saying that although, he has not heard Kohli say that, nevertheless, the goal for every bowler is to get the best batsman of the opposition out.

“I didn’t really see it,” said Archer, as reported by the cricketer. “Kohli is one of those people you’d just like to get out. You always want to get the best batsman in every team really,” he added.

Besides, Jofra Archer feels he has had a good preparation playing in the IPL alongside some of the best cricketers in the world. The Barbados-born cricketer has gone up against Virat Kohli twice in the IPL, so he has a fair idea about his weakness and strengths. It will be an eye-catching battle between Kohli and Archer when India go up against England on June 30 at Birmingham.

“I think I probably have a bigger advantage over some of the other guys in our team,” he said. “We play (these guys) twice a (season) in the IPL, so you know their weaknesses, you know their strengths, you know if they can’t run between the wickets… it gets you an extra bit of inside information,” he concluded.
