ICC World Cup 2019: Mitchell Starc Showers Praise on New Zealand Ahead Of Australia's Game

Australia who have already booked a semifinal berth in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019, will face New Zealand next on June 29 (Saturday) at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. Ahead of the game, star fast bowler Micthell Starc has heaped praise on the Kiwis for the outstanding brand of cricket they have played so far.
New Zealand have played fantastic cricket: Starc
The Aussies defeated the hot favourites England by 64 runs to seal a top-four berth. The defending champions have played some dominant cricket throughout the tournament barring the game against India. While David Warner and skipper Aaron Finch has led the batting, new ball bowlers Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins led the side with the ball. Last match it was Jason Behrendorff who joined hands with Starc to derail the England team.

Ahead of another important clash against New Zealand, Mitchell Starc played down on the opponents. He heaped praise on the Kane Williamson-led side saying that they have played some outstanding cricket without much attention. Starc also added that Williamson in their main architect while other players are revolving around him.
“They are playing some fantastic cricket, they have really gone under the radar,” Starc said of the Kiwis. “No-one has spoken too much about them and they keep winning games. They’ve got a strong side batting and bowling, Kane Williamson is their linchpin in the middle there and they’ve got bowlers who swing the ball,” he added.

Furthermore, Mitchell Starc said that it is another massive match for them and they will look to finish the group stages on a high moving towards the semifinals. Apart from the game against New Zealand, Australia will play against South Africa before beginning their semifinal campaign.
“It’s another big game for us, obviously we have cemented out spot in the semis – now we want to try and finish as high as we can and play some really good cricket headed towards the finals series,” he concluded.
