With Virat Kohli scoring yet another double century in the ongoing third Test against Sri Lanka, veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh lavished praise on the India skipper and asked him to convert it into a triple hundred.

Fresh from his 213-run knock in the second Test in Nagpur, Kohli looked in great touch right from the word go, making the most of his form to score his sixth double century in the longest format of the game. The right-handed batsman began the second day on 156 and did not give the Sri Lankan bowlers any opportunity of dismissing him, playing each delivery on its merit.

He reached the milestone when he pulled a short ball from fast-bowler Suranga Lakmal towards mid-wicket for a double. The stunning knock was studded with 20 fours. The 29-year old now has two double centuries against Sri Lanka and one each vs West Indies, New Zealand, England and Bangladesh.

Impressed with the knock,  Harbhajan took to Twitter to praise the batsman and also admitted that Kohli’s performance is unreal.

“Waah mere cheeteehh! Another double century!! It’s unreal how you outperform yourself each time ? Keep it up stage set for 300 Go for it @imVkohli ??,” Harbhajan wrote on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Kohli has already broken several records with his latest knock. The sixth double century has helped him to surpass the legendary Brian Lara to become the captain with most double centuries in Tests. He has now joined the likes of Marvan Atapattu, Virender Sehwag, Javed Miandad, Younis Khan, Ricky Ponting and Sachin Tendulkar – all of who have six double centuries. He is also the first player to record three double centuries each in two different years.
