The India National Cricket Team is set to host Australia in the second T20I in Bengaluru on February 27th. In their first clash, which took place in Vizag on Sunday (February 24th), it was the Aussies who won the close contest by three wickets. Though the venue had a history of high-scoring games, the one which took place the other day had some contrasting results on offer. As India scored a little 126 for seven in 20 overs, Australia chased down the total on the last delivery. Meanwhile, both teams will square off in the second and final T20I in Bengaluru; which starts on February 27th at 7 pm IST. Here, Cricket Addictor will bring you the weather report of the second match at M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

2nd T20I, Bengaluru – Weather Report

The forecast in Bengaluru has always been pleasant with a threat of thunderstorms looming around. Though on the game day, the Accu Weather shows there won’t be rain, thus the skies will be clear. As far as the temperature is concerned, it would hover around 18 degrees at night; which would give both batsmen and the bowlers a relaxed environment to play in.

Meanwhile, the M Chinnaswamy Stadium has been a hunting ground for team chasing. In the past, we have seen teams piling up significant totals in the beginning and yet failing to win the game. Since the stadium is at some altitude (3000 ft. above the sea level), the ball gets more elevation, and it goes further as well. As a result, it travels in the air and thus striking at this venue becomes relatively easy.

Australia began well; India aims to settle the scores

Australia had drawn the first blood in the T20Is. For them, Glenn Maxwell stood out as the difference between both teams – scoring 56 runs, including six fours and two sixes. At the top order, Finch’s form has become a worrisome sign, as the skipper got out on a first ball duck off Jasprit Bumrah. D’Arcy Short, the batsman in form, pulled off the trigger – hitting 37 off 37 balls.

In the bowling department, Nathan Coulter-Nile picked three wickets while leg-spinner, Adam Zampa kept it tight for the batsmen as well. Further, he picked Kohli’s wicket too.

For the India National Cricket Team, their limitations are getting exposed slowly. Their regular top three have been the star performers, but India’s lower-order has struggled to get going under pressure. However, KL Rahul returning to form could be a good sign for the Men in Blue. Above all, the performance of Jasprit Bumrah has kept the world talking about him. In four overs, he gave away a little 16 runs, bowled 18 dot balls and picked three wickets. Had it not been about Umesh Yadav bowling the last over and conceding 14 runs, Bumrah’s heroics would have made the headlines.

Nevertheless, both sides are upbeat about winning the next contest and march towards the ODIs.
