India’s gun fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is on the cusp on another record. Bumrah has 51 T20I wickets in the 41 matches he has played. Subsequently, Bumrah needs another two more wickets to leapfrog Ravichandran Ashwin, who is currently India’s leading wicket-taker in the T20I format. Ashwin has scalped 52 wickets in 48 T20I matches.

On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah has been at his best in the shortest format of the game. Bumrah has bowled with an average of 19.59 in the T20I format. Furthermore, the talisman bowler has conceded his runs with an economy rate of 6.7. Thus, Bumrah is regarded as the best death bowler in the world.

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah was breathing fire in the first T20I against Australia. Bumrah had bowled a magical over in the first match. The fast bowler conceded only two runs and picked two wickets in the penultimate over of the match. Consequently, Bumrah was able to turn the match on its head and had put India into the driver’s seat.

However, Umesh Yadav could not defend 14 runs in the final as Jhye Richardson and Pat Cummins were able to get their team to a thrilling win.

On the other side, Jasprit Bumrah is an asset for the India National Cricket Team. He had a fine start to his Test career as he impressed on the tour of South Africa, England, and Australia.

Bumrah was at his best in the four-match Test series against Australia. He scalped 21 wickets on the tour Down Under as he was the highest wicket-taker in the series, along with Nathan Lyon.

Meanwhile, India will like to bounce back in the two-match T20I series after going down in the first match. The second match will take place at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on 27th February.
