Australia’s leg-spinner Adam Zampa bowled a fine yorker to get rid of local boy MS Dhoni. Dhoni was looking to hit the ball hard but yorked himself after scoring 26 runs from 42 balls. Thus, Dhoni was looking good for a big score but he was dismissed by Zampa. It was the first ball of the 20th over when Dhoni failed to pick the length of the delivery. Meanwhile, it could be Dhoni’s swansong in his home town.

Kohli and Dhoni added a good partnership of 59 runs. India is currently 128-4 in pursuit of their run chase of 314 runs. Hence, the onus is on Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Kedar Jadhav to get India close to the target. Kohli is looking in sublime form as the talisman batsman has scored 72 runs off just 60 balls in the run-chase. The right-hander has thus far scored 10 fours in his knock.

Dhoni was looking good to play a big knock.

Kedar Jadhav is currently batting unbeaten on 17 runs. On the other hand, Australia posted 313 runs after Kohli won the toss and elected to bowl first.

The Australian openers Aaron Finch and Usman Khawaja gave a perfect start to their team. The openers added a mammoth partnership of 193 runs. Finch got back into form as he scored a fine knock of 93. Usman Khawaja scored his maiden ODI hundred as he batted at the top of his game.

On the other hand, India got off to a bad start as they lost three early wickets. Shikhar Dhawan was the first to go as Glenn Maxwell took a staggering catch at backward point.

Rohit Sharma was plumbed in front by Pat Cummins. Furthermore, Ambati Rayudu received a jaffa from Cummins which hit the top of the off-stump. Meanwhile, India is currently leading the five-match ODI series by 2-0. Thus, it is a must-win match for the visitors.
