Indian spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin took it to Twitter to applaud Virat Kohli for achieving the 10,000+ landmark in the second ODI against the Windies in Vishakapatnam. Meanwhile, India posted a mammoth score of 321 runs at the end of 50 overs with the loss of six wickets. Though Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 157 runs, he also achieved the feat of completing 10,000 runs in ODI cricket.

Moreover, it was another day, another Virat Kohli century proving pivotal to India’s total. The right-hand batsman doesn’t seem to be bored of it, and that hunger has been his hallmark. On a dry two-paced surface in Vizag, he looked in no trouble at all, shifting gears with minimum effort to guide Men in Blue to a total that is well above par on this surface.
Furthermore, Ambati Rayudu‘s fifty was vital too, giving the momentum in the middle overs before Kohli went crazy in the slog overs. However, Windies paid for the lapses in catching, as Virat Kohli got dropped twice. The first of those being a sharp chance that Holder should have taken. The Indian captain later capitalised on that and added runs to his ever-growing tally.

In addition to that, he had achieved the feat of making 1000-plus ODI runs this year. However, he also scored over 2000 runs across formats and on Wednesday, he became the fastest-ever to 10,000 in the 50-over format. Meanwhile, Windies have an uphill task, the target is stiff, and the pitch could further slow down.
However, Ravichandran is pleased with the performance of skipper Virat Kohli. He urges everyone to switch on the TV and take a look a Kohli, how he is playing and improving day by day.
“Switch on the TV,
@imVkohli is batting on 144 having crossed the colossal 10k run mark. Double it up now as they would be calling for it in the dressing room.#battingartist#INDvWIN”
