India skipper, Virat Kohli achieves the landmark of scoring 10,000 runs in ODI cricket, and he was found celebrating after taking the single to reach the feat against the Windies in Vizag ODI. However, the right-hander batsman has made a good come back after being given rest from Asia Cup 2018.
Meanwhile, Virat has been in a sensational form, as he has slammed two consecutive hundreds in two games against the Windies. In the Guwahati ODI, and also in the Vizag game, the India captain scored 140 and 157* respectively.
However, the right-hander took ten years and 66 days to achieve the feat and was also the fastest batsman to complete it. However, it was the third ball of the 37th over when Kohli pushed it and took a single to reach the daddy landmark. He along with the crowd and the dressing room celebrated.
Moreover, Rahul Dravid was the previous batsman from Indian team to achieve the feat after ten years and 317 days. Virat Kohli became the second batsman after Sachin Tendulkar to score 10,000 runs regarding age. Tendulkar achieved this feat when he was 27 years and 341 days while Kohli had made it at 29 years and 353 days.
Furthermore, Kohli was just short of 81 runs of 10,000 runs before today’s match. He played some fantastic cricket at Vishakapatnam with Ambati Raduyu and added 139 runs for the third wicket. Meanwhile, Kohli also made his 37th ODI ton in the second match against the Windies.
