India thrashed Pakistan by eight wickets in a lop-sided Asia Cup 2018 group A match where Jasprit Bumrah bowled remarkably well at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 19 (Wednesday).

However, it was an excellent effort from the bowling unit that saw Pakistan for 162 runs within 43.1 overs. Meanwhile, India only took 29 overs to wrap up the game. This was India’s one of the most comprehensive victory regarding bowling.

However, earlier in the day, Pakistan skipper, Sarfraz Ahmed won the toss and opted to bat first.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar provided a wonderful start for the Men in Blue along with Jasprit Bumrah. Kumar dismissed the openers Imam Ul Haq and Fakhar Zaman for a duck. Later, Jasprit Bumrah bagged with two wickets dismissing Faheem Ashraf and Usman Khan. Consequently, Pakistan couldn’t build up a steady partnership amongst them.

Japrit Bumrah bowled a brilliant spell of 7.1 overs conceding 23 runs and bagged with two wickets. Moreover, Bumrah bowled back to back two maiden overs and created pressure on the Pakistan batting line up. He also kept his economy rate below 3.5 which proves he bowled some brilliant overs in the match.

Furthermore, Jasprit Bumrah played for Indian replacing Khaleel Ahmed who also put up a good show in his debut match against Hong Kong. It was a tough decision for the selectors to put Bumrah in place of Ahmed. However, he put up all his efforts and bowled superbly to retain in his place for the next match.
