IPL 2018: 4 Youngest Batsman to Smash an IPL Century

It was a sensational knock by Delhi Daredevils wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant who smacked the Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers all around the park. His audacious innings of 128 contained 15 fours and 7 sixes. The Delhi crowd was treated to some scintillating strokeplay by the young man. The southpaw smashed arguably the greatest death overs bowler in the world Bhuvneshwar Kumar for 26 runs in the final over. His innings was the sole reason which propelled Delhi to a score of 187 in their allotted 20 overs.
He also became the 2nd youngest batsman in the tournament to smash an IPL century. Following his historic innings here is a look at 5th youngest to score an IPL century.
Manish Pandey (19 years 253 days)- 114 of 73 balls Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Deccan Chargers- IPL 2009

It was a sensational innings from the youngster. He was just 19 years back and his innings immediately gave him recognition. His innings of 114 came in 73 deliveries which were studded with 10 fours and 4 sixes. It was some effortless strokeplay by the youngster who kept smashing boundaries at will. It was a below par Hyderabad bowling attack and the youngster made full use of his opportunity at the top of the order.

Rishabh Pant(20 years 218 days)- 128 of 63 deliveries Delhi Daredevils vs Sunrisers Hyderabad- IPL 2018

The southpaw made the best bowling line up in the tournament till now look utterly clueless. He smashed Bhuvneshwar Kumar for 26 runs in the final over as the innings as he propelled Delhi to 128 of 63 deliveries which were studded with 15 fours and 7 sixes. The left-handed batsman was at his smashing best. He made international bowlers look disgusted while he treated the Feroz Shah Kotla crowd to some scintillating display.
Sanju Samson (22 years 251 days)- Delhi Daredevils vs Rising Pune Supergiant- 102 runs of 63 deliveries- IPL 2017

The youngster scored a fantastic century for the Delhi Daredevils in the last edition of the tournament against the Rising Pune Supergiant. He has been a class player but hasn’t been consistent enough. However, on that particular day, it was some sensational display of batsmanship by Samson. He made the Pune bowling line-up look utterly clueless. He scored 102 of just 63 deliveries which included 8 fours and 5 gigantic sixes. Courtesy his innings, Delhi defeated the finalist of the tournament by a huge margin of 97 runs.
Quinton de Kock (23 years 122 days)- Delhi Daredevils vs Royal Challengers Bangalore- 108 of 51 deliveries- IPL 2016

The southpaw who currently plays for the Royal Challengers Bangalore struck a magnificent innings while playing against them a couple of years back. The southpaw who was part of the Delhi Daredevils squad back in 2016. He smashed a sensational 108 of just 51 deliveries which included 15 fours and 3 hits out of the fence. He looked in brilliant touch and played an instrumental role in helping Delhi chase down a stiff total set by the Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB had made 191 in their allotted 20 overs courtesy brilliant knock from Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. Delhi eventually won the match by 7 wickets with 5 deliveries to spare.
