IPL 2018: Dropped Catches Don't Help, Reckons Virat Kohli after RCB Lost to CSK by Six Wickets

Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper, Virat Kohli could not restrict himself for being a mere spectator, as MS Dhoni smacked sixes after sixes to take his side home and end the South rivalry with a 2-0 scoreline in the IPL 2018.
It all started to go wrong for the visitors from the very initial phase once Brendon McCullum lost his wicket while attempting a half-hearted shot. Ravindra Jadeja and Harbhajan Singh jolted the famed batting line-up in no time. Jadeja scalped three wickets, and the one that made it to the charts was of the captain itself, Virat Kohli.
The spinner castled Kohli’s timber and then went on to pick two more sticks. Apart from Parthiv Patel, who replaced Quinto de Kock, no one else contributed with the bat.
Tim Southee took matters into his hands and scored a 26-ball 36. RCB ended the innings on 127/9 in their 20 overs.
The Bangalore dug-out was embarrassed, as many chances were put down. The losing skipper did mention it after the game got over. He stressed on the poor batting display.
“A close game of cricket. Dropped catches don’t help,” says Virat Kohli. “Not the ideal day for us: losing so many wickets.”
He backed his boys and lauded the effort but said it was just not enough.
“It was difficult to score in the end, had we taken the chances we could have made the match closer. Everyone loves to see MS striking the ball, the way he is doing. The bigger picture is that it is good for Indian cricket. They have played well and they deserve to win this game. We know it is a tough road ahead, we need to win at least 4 matches or all 5 matches.” Kohli added.
