IPL 2018: Expected Worth at the Auction of Marquee Players

With 16 players topping the charts as the marquee players for the mega Indian Premier League’s auction 2018 which will be kicking off on January 27 in Bengaluru owing to the massive pool where at least around 182 spots are up for the grabs after the list of 578 players were made available.
The eleventh edition of the acclaimed Twenty20 league would witness massive signings after the retention procedure was held on January 4 in Mumbai which further allowed all eight-team management to do their homework before settling on the table.
The much-awaited IPL Players’ Auction would spring a surprise and headline the short-paced competition will entertain the crazy cricket nation, as the tournament will be kicking off in the first week of April.
As players are bound to go under the hammer, the distinct managements are working to pick the strong squad. Interestingly, the total of 62 players will be from the capped list, as 298 Indian uncapped players will be keeping a close eye on the two-day auction which will be telecasted live.
On the other side, with two players coming from the Associate Nation, as 182 players from overseas would be participating in the bidding pool in the form of capped players and 34 uncapped players from away conditions would also include Australian sensation D’Arcy Short, who lit the seventh edition of the Big Bash League (BBL).
Here’s is the list of players for the marquee list who are further distributed in two categories in the form of M1 and M2:
Harbhajan Singh, Ravichandran Ashwin, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Gautam Gambhir, Chris Gayle, Yuvraj Singh, Mitchell Starc, Ben Stokes, Kane Williamson, Faf du Plessis, Shakib Al Hasan, Kieron Pollard, Joe Root, Glenn Maxwell, and Dwayne Bravo.
As many as 36 players have kept the top bracket in terms of the amount which subsequently includes 13 Indian cricketers as the base price of the marquee players has gone to INR 2 crore.
In a bid to attract the lucrative bids, Karn Sharma, KL Rahul, Murali Vijay, Robin Uthappa, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kedhar Jadhav and Dinesh Karthik have also set their base price of INR 2 crore to swung fortunes in their favour.
