Ravichandran Ashwin and the Kings XI Punjab think tank have lost to ponder on, as Royal Challengers sealed a ten-wicket win in game number 48 of IPL 2018 in Indore.

It turned out to be a one-sided contest, as the hosts fell like nine pins while Virat Kohli’s men looked sharp on the field.

The Bangalore side have a settled line-up with Parthiv Patel grabbing the opportunity with both hands. The successful chase also meant RCB now have a solid chance of making it to the playoffs.

Ashwin on the loss

After the massive loss, Ashwin said he is upset with the loss. He termed it not so professional as no one really clicked tonight for the side.

“Disappointing. Wasn’t a professional effort at all. That’s been the story. It’s the bowlers who have got us the points. We’ve to try and make sure we lift ourselves.” he said after the 10-wicket loss.

He is aware of the slammed net run-rate and said they would have to keep a tab on that. The skipper added that now it becomes very important to beat Mumbai and then play a stong Chennai side.

“We’ll have to keep a watch on the net run rate but stay positive and move forward. It was very simple – we haven’t really got through to 20 overs three down or 4 down. We didn’t put a score in the minds of the batsmen when we went in – it’s just that the wheels came off. Quick turnover, we’ll try to put Mumbai to bed and see how it goes in Pune. We’ve got a reasonable bowling attack, and a lot of international experienced players didn’t show up with the bat.” he added.
