A delighted Mohammed Siraj, on Tuesday, thanked his Royal Challengers Bangalore and India skipper Virat Kohli for visiting his house in Hyderabad.

The Royal Challengers were in Hyderabad earlier this week for their must-win game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Sensing an opportunity, Siraj invited his teammates to his house and the players duly obliged. On Sunday, after practice, Kohli and a few other Royal Challengers players including Parthiv Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal reached Siraj’s home at Tolichowki. The players were treated to some authentic Hyderabadi biryani along with patthar ka gosht, korma, khoobani ka mertha and double ka meetha. They also posed for photographs before leaving.

Siraj then took to Instagram to thank Kohli, writing:

“Thank you VK Bhaiyya @virat.kohli, The BEST-EST gift I have ever received in my life.”

But while, the Royal Challengers camp is having a gala time off the field, one cannot say the same for their on-field performance.  With just 3 wins in 10 games, the Kohli-led side now needs some divine intervention to make it to the playoffs.

Despite having one of the most balanced sides in the league, the three-time finalists could not quite deliver consistently.

On Monday (May 7), they suffered their seventh defeat in ten games. It looked like the Royal Challengers would win the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) but ended up losing it by just five runs.

Chasing a modest 147, the Royal Challengers found themselves reeling at 84 for five. Colin de Grandhomme and Mandeep Singh then stopped the rot, taking the score past the 100-run mark. The duo went on to stay till the end but could not score the required 12 runs in the last over as the visitors were restricted to 141 for six.
